Upcoming stylish action RPG Lost Soul Aside, a passion project that has grown to prominence and being supported by Sony itself, is an ambitious title. That ambitious trait seems to be carried over from its creator, Yang Bing. According to a discussion Bing had with Dualshockers at GDC 2018, he would love to see Lost Soul Aside become a franchise.

Bing responded to a question about Lost Soul Aside and where he sees the IP to go in the future. He hopes it can become a whole series of games, with a second and even third entry to come. Of course that depends on a lot of factors, but given the gameplay we have seen so far, it’s not hard to see the game finding some success.

Lost Soul Aside is an action-RPG with a heavy emphasis on combat, in a style reminiscent of both Final Fantasy XV and Nier Automata, but with a deep story promised to drive the final product. Now that the game is being supported by Sony and being worked on by a team instead of just Bing, we can probably expect to hear more from Lost Soul Aside soon.
