I must preface this with the fact that everything I am about to say is my own opinion and I know for certain many people will disagree. What has become of Tarkov? I have been playing Tarkov since the start of the open alpha and it has undoubtedly become my most played game ever. Seeing the evolution of the game from a few traders to the ones we currently have, the addition of new tasks, maps, gear, etc. Has been great. However, two major additions to the game have, in my opinion, fundamentally ruined Tarkov in various aspects and veered it far off the path I was hoping it would take. These two additions are the Flea Market and the Labs map.The Flea Market:Initially, I had no issue with this feature, and if anything I really liked it.

Not only did it allow players to quickly finish the monotonous tasks, but it also allowed many players to skip tasks altogether and just play the game. This was my opinion and still somewhat is until players took advantage of it (understandably so). Whereas before the flea market players may have had a few million roubles, people now have hundreds of millions and run whatever gear they want whenever they want (yes, I know this has and will continue to be the case for late wipe gameplay). My issue with this is that there is absolutely no fear of losing gear and in turn, people start playing the game contradictory to what I personally enjoyed way back in 2017 and to what the devs seem to want with the game. Battlestate often touts the realism of Tarkov, of course, it will always have arcadie aspects but players running and gunning on stims and there being very little in terms of consequences for such gameplay doesn't suit the game. Many of these issues aren't the flea market itself but are exacerbated by it. In general, the flea market makes it far too easy to get money and in turn, as I said, gameplay turns to the run and gun style.

People running then bunny hopping past a door to check if someone is inside is stupid. Players jumping off roofs and getting falling shots on people is stupid. Being able to tank a shit ton of rounds in Fort, Zhuk, Slick, or Gen4 is absurd.

Again, these issues in themselves have nothing to do with the flea market but rather the market enables them to a greater extent than I remember before its addition.Labs:My opinions here will probably be the most controversial. I hate Labs, no not the map itself but much like the flea market what it enables.

With raiders and extremely high tier, loot players could make millions a run further contributing to some of the issues I previously brought about. Having set loot spawns also made hatchet runners and chads alike love the map (set loot spawns should be outright removed from the game and with it tasks should be changed).

Bringing about weight restrictions somewhat helped in that weapons and items cases were much harder to utilize in raid (as they should be). What does that matter though?

Just dump your bag and run! Oh, and of course the devs will further cater to this playstyle with the addition of a button to quickly drop your bag. I'll reiterate that these issues are fundamental to the game and Labs as well as the market just worsen them.

I personally can't wait, like many other players, for Streets to be added. I have one reason that may pertain to my feelings only but having Labs removed as a standalone map will be great. Players will, at least initially, play more cautiously seeing as they have to not only pay for a keycard but also survive what is basically two raids in one.Other Thoughts:I've gotta say, I feel like this will likely fall on deaf ears but I'm writing all that is above and below anyhow.

Here is a quick list of “easy' (some of them aren’t) changes and or additions I think should be made to the game.- Only loot items and keybars/SICC/wallet can be placed in your container, this means ammo, magazines, weapon parts, meds, etc. Will no longer be able to go in. Nikita talked about doing this a while ago but never implemented it.

Players throwing good meds, ammo, and mags in them is stupid.- Body parts can only be repaired (CMS/Surv) twice a raid, maybe even once, and or make using them take much longer where you will need to find good cover to use them. This will help slow down the game as people will fear that their legs will go out.- Make it so that painkillers, morphine, etc. Will still allow you to run but at reduced speed (half or so of normal) and should take a little bit after consumption to fully take effect to get to that point. It's crazy that you can pop any of those and be right back in the fight.

(Edible painkillers go into effect slower than stims, have some go into effect quicker as a benefit for those ones)- MAYBE: For stomach wounds, surgery will stop external blood loss but the player will still lose hydration at a slightly faster rate. For chest, stomach, legs, (major artery areas) the player will lose health very slowly due to internal blood loss, depending on body part it may be faster.- Remove set loots spawns, they enable hatchet/pistol runners and make getting money way too easy.

Instead have dynamic loot for all items, medical items will more likely be found in medical areas but can still be found anywhere else (within reason). This will be harder to implement but at the very least there shouldn't be an exact desk or barrel that often spawns items that people will run to.- Make blunt damage much more prevalent. Shotgun slugs to the chest even with armor should do significant damage to the chest.

This could help make the pistol caliber guns (9x19, 9x18,.45) and even secondaries somewhat viable, otherwise adding the 1911 and Vector is pointless. A good few rounds to the chest or one slug should take a good toll on your stamina and disorient you somehow. Rounds to the helmet give the player an effect similar to that of a flash where they are concussed for a little bit (prevalence dependent on velocity and mass of round)- MAYBE: Give grenades a better concussive power. Generally fix them?- Make the Hermetic Door extract on Reserve stay on unless the generator gets turned off by a player.- Make any paid vehicle extraction instant (normal extraction timer) after payment.- Create dynamic tasks that don't 100% rely on RNG loot spawns. Example: As part of BP Depot or one of the oil tasks you must siphon gas from cars or barrels as the resource has become increasingly rare in the area. Different cars/barrels in different raids will have gas. I know this isn't the best example but tasks should have you interact with the map more and generally the 'get 10 cig tasks' should be outright removed no matter the point tasks are at right now.- Remove absurd tasks where you have to wear/use a specific set of gear/guns or get kills at specific ranges, they are asinine at best and extremely frustrating at worst.- Don't get mad please: Don't allow players to take in cases of any kind (pistol, keybar, SICC etc.

Are fine of course). These should be items to help players have more storage not to allow them to hold 10-15 weapons.- Make it so that the player must somehow interact with the extraction before the timer starts.

This will allow players to loot kills in the extractions. After a set amount of time in area, it will instantly extract so people can’t outright camp them.- Make it so that ammunition on the character takes up more space, 30 rounds of 5.56x45 should be a 1x2 slot or at least make 60 rnds take up that much.- Increase weapon recoil overall, to me, it seems that way too many guns have become lasers.- Actual lasers should only benefit the player in that it is a laser that can guide one's aim, it should have no effect on the weapon other than weight and visuals. I may be wrong but seeing so many others use them and praise their point shooting capabilities (with infrared on) leads me to think this- I don’t know how to do this but high tier armor, ammo, and guns shouldn’t be readily available, even late in the wipe. (More common later but not everybody should be running it)- CONTROVERSIAL: Reselling items directly from the traders on the flea market shouldn’t be allowed. (I would only implement this if tasks are reworked so that leveling traders isn’t as tedious) At the very least, resale of ammo at absurd overprice shouldn’t be allowed.- Add a direct currency exchange from euros/USD to roubles through Therapist- Diversify loot spawns on all maps/add more areas of interest to change up gameplay. Shoreline is pretty much just the health resort with open garbage elsewhere. Lower loot spawns there and either increase good loot elsewhere and or add some new/cool places to visit.- Until better tasks are released allow Peacekeepers questline to open like most other traders- Weapon degradation should happen faster under certain circumstances- Allow for medical supplies/consumables of the same type to be combined into one full item- Reduce the amount of noise made by the player when on metal and woodI would bet that there are others but this list is already quite long.

For those who disagree I would genuinely like to hear other perspectives. I personally want the game to slow down, not so much in getting gear but in the gameplay itself as right now it just doesn’t suit where I once enjoyed the game and how I would expect the devs to want their game. Please remember these are all just my opinions and I have no expectations for the devs to implement much of anything stated above. It's a BETA, how the hell do you expect people to use items and find bugs if they don't have access to them? The painkiller idea is extremely stupid until they implement some sort of non-instanced open world. I mean you only have maximum 50 minutes per raid, you want me to wait for 5 minutes for the painkiller to get metabolized in my system when dehydration and loss of energy happen at break neck speed? This isn't Dayz and I personally don't want it to be either. The community has asked so much for a Flea Market and for repairing blacked out limbs just to say they don't want it anymore, fuck's sake.So you want to limit access to good armor and ammo even more, which would make the streamers that play 8 hours+ a day unstoppable gods in their forts and gen4s while us the plebs have to play SCAV simulator?. Painkillers: I should've specified, I only meant for it to take a few seconds, maybe more, to go into affect.

You should have an instant ability to be back in the fight. Something I didn't add in the OP was that dehydration and energy loss should be slower and their effect at 0 shouldn't end up killing you. 'The Community': I am one person with my own opinions, I never advocated for the flea market and didn't even play the first patch it was out. It should stay in the game no doubt but some effort should be put towards mitigating its abuse so. Armor and Ammo: I have had a much different experience in Tarkov recently than you. What steamers do many players end up doing, AKA the meta game.

Yes, they have more time to get gear and money but efforts should be made so that these players and all others should have to take more time to get the ABSOLUTE best gear. No matter what streamers will and have been at an advantage due to play time.Repairing Blacked Limbs: I never said I don't want them, you just shouldn't be able to keep fixing your limbs because you get yourself in stupid fights and get injured. Two times or so a raid is more than enough anyway.I never said I wanted all the aspects I spoke on added but rather I just want the game to slow down a little bit.

With all these implemented the game would suck ik but some of them could really help. If the game as at 10mph right now I just want it to be around 7 or so, I just don't think anybody should have the ability at any point to play the run and gun tarkov.I'll also add that I know it is in BETA. In the end if only gameplay tweaks are made to slow everything down a bit I won't care what people are playing with. I just thought that idea could help in making people more cautious when playing with the best gear. I'll just add my two cents here because this post got my attention. Good job OP!I think that the flea market isn't exactly an issue, its just how easy it is to abuse it. And the amount of top tier loot in Labs and Reserve dont help.

The flea market itself is a game as of now. And because you can do shit like selling rounds at a 500% markup with bots, it utterly breaks the game because it means that only high level players can afford ammo that can take them down, making combat in lower levels nearly impossible against them. Also, YES. DYNAMIC LOOT WOULD BE GREAT! Making it so that spawns are more dynamic would change how the maps play immensely.

Shoreline would actually be interesting because there would be an actual reason to not go into Resort other than the risk of dying. The weapon degradation idea sounds good too. Weapons without dust covers would degrade faster, along with weapons with holes in the handguard or the such. Also, dynamic tasks would be amazing. Because of RNG spawns, a quest can be a fucking cakewalk or hard as hell. I personally did both of the Gas analyzer quests with one raid, and my friend only found 1 in 5 raids. There should be multiple items that you can give, not just one, maybe with a bonus if you give both items.Blunt damage would be great too, because it would give shells and actual purpose.

Escape from tarkov reddit

Right now the one i see the most is AP. And that isn't available to anyone below level 10. Like, cmon, a 12g shell to the chest will break a few bones, and hurt a lot too. Regardless of armor. It sounds like you want someone to be ounished HEAVILY just for having one close fight. It also sounds like you are one of the people that bitch about global limits on traders.

Which isn't an issue. If you don't have the time to be ready to get that offer then you don't get it simple.

Shouldn't be bitching about it traders restock a dozen times a day surely you are available at one of those points.I do agree recoil should be increased on most guns.As for the flea market. It is fine and shoupd not be removed. Pretty much everything you can buy on the flea market you can buy from traders without having to do tedious tasks.

And yes the flea market price is lower but typically not by much.
