Yankee S Peak Resort
Nice resort, but not for beginners. We were at Jay Peaks doing the Christmas holidays for some downhill skiing and snowboarding. There are many runs and not a lot of wait times on the lifts, if you are a beginner, there are no transition runs. You go from the Magic carpet to very steep green runs. The resort is a 2- to 2.5-hour drive from Nassau County and 3 to 3.5 hours from Suffolk. All of Resort World Casino’s rooms are suites, the smallest around 600 square feet.

There are customers who reserved via jaypeak website.
And there the others who reserved via aggregators (like we did with expedia). If you are in the second category you will feel abandonned. For example, we booked for a room with 2 queen beds, but got the king bed + sofa bed. Reception stated that since you reserved via expedia, you get what’s left. Real driving 3d.
Priority was given to customers who booked directly from their sites. We got that answer after waiting 30 minutes on the side. Nobody really wanted to take care of us. On day 3, tv stopped working.
Receptionist forwarded me to a voicemailbox. Nobody returned my calls or provided any statuses. Tv came back at night. Bottom line, very poor service and customer experience On the positive note, The room was clean. The hotel location (just at the bottom of the ski slope) was perfect. Ski lockers were clean.
Restaurants on site are so so (mostly comfort food). This place is awesome I stayed at the Tram Lodge and service was perfect. Skiing was amazing, all the hosts on the spot are qualified to answer all of your questions. I had dinner at the restaurant of the Golf Club and it was very special and excellent. They also have a big cafeteria, pizza place for late night snacks. There is also a sort of little deli where you can buy cold cuts, cheeses, wine, bread, etc. They have this huge water park, inside skating rink, climbing wall, daily care for the children, golf club, hills are very well groomed.
Price is affordable with all the different room categories available. For Canadians you can get package and pay in Cdn currency so it is interesting. I will definitely go back I love everything about it it is a complete product for everyone. We just came back from 4 days at Jay Peak with our two children (ages 6 & 8) and it was an amazing experience. We stayed in a one bedroom suite with a nice view of the mountain and purchased the swim and ski package for 4 days.

We also signed our kids up for ski lessons. The kids had a blast skiing, an even better time at the pump house and clips & reels blew their minds. At the end of the night they were in heaven at the arcade. There are so many activities for kids at Jay, you don't have to worry about hitting bad conditions.

The room was spacious and clean with fantastic storage for all your gear and boots and a comfortable full kitchen equipped with everything you need. We got lucky and had great conditions during our stay and Jay has great terrain, so my husband and I had a great time as well exploring the mountain.
We would 100% recommend Jay to young families. This resort is a hidden Gem for families.
