In order to even avoid the spike balls that Dark Crafter launch at you, you have to draw a line in order to change the direction of the rocket, which is quite tedious, as you're constantly propelling forward. In order to damage Dark Crafter, you have to collect a hundred stars that are scattered through out the arena, and then use the rocket's special attack to damage him. It's quite tedious.

You only get one chance to hit Dark Crafter with the rocket special attack, so if you miss, you have to recollect all of the stars again. If you're playing this game in multiplayer mode, the other players can mash the button and provide a quick boost for the main player. However, that is a bad move in the game's part, as the main player gains a boost of speed that will make them bump into the spikes. Dark Crafter only takes three hits to be defeated, despite being the final boss.
