These are all crappy designs. The best designs are ORIGINAL. SOMETHING YOU LACK IN ALL YOUR POSTS. Also, these images of base designs are VERY old, and you can see that the Hero hall is no longer the same size as Arena. So I highly suggest not even using these.

Okay and back on topic now. The first base is heavily flawed. The major problem is that it is not actually enclosed by walls on the top, left, or bottom sides. The bottom is wide open. The top while appearing to be secured is not because walls can only secure up or down and not diagonally. Attacking heroes will just come right through. The left side has a similar issue although I believe that is more due to a design error when making the image.
Additionally, it would help knowing what heroes you are using as they influence your base design. For example, if you are using pan goli then it will help delay attackers because of tower immunity.
I would suggest you try a base like the one below. It is a level 11 townhall so you only have 10 more walls then in the image. This is a classic double wall base. This base takes advantage of hero AI and forces them to attack around the outside before going for the middle. With a pangoli, renee, or sapphirix it will boost surrounding towers. The reapers are positioned to cover the entire base. Lastly, if you have a gemini ambro there is nowhere you can be attacked that she will not defend.

Defensive Base Layout #1This base design is a great one thanks to the enclosed Archer Towers set up on either side of the Town Hall. Raiding troops will try and make their way past your Gold Storage and they’ll have to deal with the Cannons set up in the corner. Your centralized Town Hall and huge vats of Gold/Elixir can be seen in this tight center nearby an extra Cannon and single Mortar.2. Defensive Base Layout #2This awesome Town Hall 4 setup is locked up real tight. Your Town Hall is placed in a real tight corner that’s right next to your Gold/Elixir Storage. Right in front of those buildings and tight Walls placement are two Archer Towers, a Mortar placed in the middle of them and a Cannon that has a random placement.

One of those Air Defense buildings on the outside of this Town Hall offers some ample protection, too.3. Defensive Base Layout #3The Walls built up here are closed up real well, but they have some troops ready made for war as they’re set up within these Wall corners. Raiding troops will have to contend with those two Archer Towers as they engage in battle with your troops. The other Defensive Buildings placed around these towers also lend a good hand in keeping your Town Hall/Storage safe.4. Defensive Base Layout #4The Mortar enclosed in that small spot behind the Town Hall features a Mortar, thankfully. If raiding troops even get that far into your base, they’ll get cut down by that Mortar, two Cannons, two Archer Towers, a few Bombs etc. This base layout is top of the line when it comes to defensive-minded play.5.

Defensive Base Layout #5This base is quite similiar to the 4th base design on this list (the Mortar placement is pretty much the same). Your Town Hall and Storage containers are smack dab in the middle of a nice selection of Defensive Buildings.
